Maureen Bennett has been a Robson resident for 5 years, along with her husband and two Golden retrievers. She is the retired President of IDEA Service Dogs, a 501.c.3 nonprofit and Texas Public charity that she founded in 2008. Prior to becoming disabled in 1998, Maureen was a corporate executive at Qualcomm in San Diego.
She completed her degrees in Mathematics and Accounting at California State University, and spent most of her career in Manufacturing Operations and Program Management. When her disabilities took her from the corporate world, she found her passion in assistance dog training, leadership of non-profit organizations, and championing inclusion for the disabled."
