Friday September 30 will be our last Fifth Friday Social of the 2022. In addition to our great fellowship, we will having a canned / boxed food drive for the Denton Community Food Bank at Serve Denton. Last year we did a successful Chili Drive. The PKRC Service Committee is coordinating this effort. Please mark you calendar for the Lounge at the Wildhorse Grill on Sept 30th for fun, fellowship, and service!

The Monarch butterfly winter migration south has started. Now they are visiting the Monarch Butterfly Waystation Garden that Rotary built last spring at Serve Denton.
Director of Serve Denton, Pat Smith, reports that in addition to the Monarchs, a lot of bees also benefit from the fall blooms.
Lori Cloutier serves as a Co-Leader of the Plastic Solutions Task Force, a part of Rotary’s Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group. The task force is working to address root causes of plastic pollution, and to help develop a global network to rethink and influence how we create, use and dispose of plastic. Lori served as Executive Director of the Rotary Club of Oakland, CA for 25 years.
